  • Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a friendly representative from our team will be there to greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. You will have the chance to meet with your experienced guide today and take advantage of the opportunity to address any remaining concerns or inquiries you may have regarding your upcoming trek to Everest Base Camp.

    Our trekking adventure begins as soon as we touch down at Lukla airport, having flown in from Manthali. Our first destination is Chutok (2,800 m), which lies three hours away and signifies the official commencement of our trek. Following our arrival, we will find respite in a cozy guesthouse in Chutok for an overnight stay. The next day, we will set out to explore the breathtaking Himalayan vistas that lay ahead. As we traverse through the serene landscapes, we can’t help but feel exhilarated by the natural beauty that surrounds us.

    We will embark on an early morning trek from Chutok to Zatrabok (4,600 m) via the Zatrawala Pass (4,704 m). As we make our way through the trail, we will encounter gradual ascents leading up to the pass. Once we cross the Zatrawala Pass, we will be rewarded with stunning views of Number Himal, Kongdi Ri, and several Karyolang peaks. The entire trek is estimated to take around 6 hours. We will spend the night at a guesthouse in Zatrabok, where we can rest and take in the mesmerizing surroundings before continuing our trek the next day.

    Our fifth day of trekking will involve a descent from Zatrabok to Kothe (3,600 m), where we will be treated to a picturesque view of junipers and rhododendrons. The natural beauty of the surroundings will make the journey even more delightful. The trek to Kothe is expected to take about 5 hours, during which we will immerse ourselves in the stunning scenery. Once we arrive at Kothe, we will retire to a guesthouse for an overnight stay, where we can rejuvenate ourselves before continuing our trek the following day.

    After enjoying a comfortable stay and delectable food, we will continue our trek towards Tangnang (4,356 m). The trek will involve gradual elevation and will provide us with numerous opportunities to witness the beauty of our surroundings. As we pass through the Hinhu Valley, we will come across Sabal Tsho-Lake, which will be a sight to behold. Along the way, we will also be treated to breathtaking views of Kusum Kanguru. Our journey to Tangnang is expected to take a few hours, following which we will spend the night at a guesthouse. Here, we can relax and rejuvenate ourselves before continuing our trek the next day.

    Following a 5-hour trek to Tangnang, we will take a day to acclimatize ourselves to the altitude. This is the first acclimatization day of our journey to Meera Peak, during which we will explore the local culture and take in the beautiful peaks and glaciers in the valley. The day will be spent leisurely, allowing us to adjust to the high altitude and prepare ourselves for the rest of the journey. We will stay overnight at the guesthouse, where we can rest and rejuvenate ourselves before resuming our trek the following day.

    We will rise early in the morning at Tangnang to embark on our journey towards Khara (5,045 m). The trek to Khara will take approximately 4 hours, with gradual ascent being the key feature of this leg of the journey. As we continue to climb, we will move along the sideways moraine of the glacier, providing us with stunning views of Meera Peak. The trek is expected to be challenging, but the captivating scenery along the way will make it worthwhile. Once we arrive at Khara, we will spend the night at a guesthouse, where we can rest and recharge before continuing our trek the following day.

    The second acclimatization day is crucial for our ascent to Mera Peak. Unlike the first acclimatization day, the focus of this day is to familiarize ourselves with the new surroundings and prepare for the trek to Meera La. This day will be spent exploring the area and getting acclimated to the high altitude, which is essential for a successful ascent to Mera Peak. We will stay overnight at the guesthouse, where we can rest and recharge before embarking on the next leg of our journey. This day of acclimatization is critical to ensure that we are physically and mentally prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.

    Our next trekking destination is Meera La (5,415 m), which we will embark on in the early morning from Khara. The trek to Meera La is a challenging but interesting one, as we gradually ascend along the snowy glacier and navigate through steep and tricky terrain. However, we will be under the guidance of experienced guides throughout the trek, ensuring our safety and well-being. After a strenuous trek, we will set up camp in a tented area, where we can rest and rejuvenate ourselves for the remainder of the journey to Mera Peak.

    On the day after a well-deserved rest and acclimatization, we will begin our trek to the High Camp, a challenging but rewarding journey that takes approximately 4-5 hours. This leg of the trek is particularly exciting, as we will be treated to stunning views of towering mountains that rise above 7,000 meters, including iconic peaks like Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. As we make our way through this awe-inspiring landscape, we will feel small in comparison to the grandeur of the natural world around us. We will spend the night at a tented camp, surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains.

    The next day starts with an early trek towards the summit, which we reach after a few hours of climbing. The view from the top is simply breathtaking, with towering peaks like Pumori (7161 m), Makalu (8463 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Lobuche (6145 m), and Cho-Oyu (8201 m) surrounding us. These views are the highlight of the trek and make all the effort worth it. After the summit, we will retrace our steps back to Khara (4,900 m), which will take around 10 hours. Though it will be a long and tiring day, the experience of climbing Meera Peak Summit will make it unforgettable. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

    The reserve day for contingency is a crucial day in our trekking schedule. This day is reserved to deal with any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the trek. The weather conditions can change unexpectedly and it may affect our plans to trek to Meera Peak summit. This reserve day will help us to adjust our schedule accordingly and complete the trek successfully. However, if the weather is favorable and we do not need this day, we can use it to explore the nearby areas and enjoy the natural beauty of the region. We will spend the night in a tented camp.

     On day 14, we will bid adieu to the lofty mountains of Tangnag and head towards Khothey, which is situated at an altitude of 3,600 m. It is a brief one-hour descent, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Once we reach Khothey, we will spend the night at a cozy guesthouse, where we will be greeted with warm hospitality. This marks the end of our challenging trek, and we can take this opportunity to reflect on the amazing experiences we had during this journey. It’s a time to cherish all the memories and soak in the beauty of nature before returning to our daily lives.

     Our next destination is Zatrabok, which we will reach after trekking from Khothey. During the trek, we will get to see a diverse range of alpine vegetation, including the vast forest of Rhododendron. We will also camp in the green hills, after crossing several high passes. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the local culture and customs of the Nepali and Sherpa people. We will stay overnight at the guesthouse, enjoying the scenic beauty of the place.

    We will depart from Zatrabok and trek to Chutenga on this day, which is expected to take approximately 6 hours. The trail ascends steadily until we reach the Zatrawala Pass, after which it descends and leads us to Chutenga. During the trek, we will be able to enjoy scenic views of the surrounding landscape, including lush forests and rolling hills. Upon arrival at Chutenga, we will stay overnight at a guesthouse and rest in preparation for the next day’s trek. This day will be a great opportunity to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the region and experience the local culture.

    The following day of our trek will take us from Chutenga to Lukla, following the scheduled itinerary. The trail from Chutenga descends through stunning forests of rhododendron, fir, juniper, and oak, with spectacular views of Kongdi Ri, Number Himal, and Karyolang peaks. This will be a long day of trekking, but the breathtaking scenery along the way will make it all worthwhile. We will spend the night at a guesthouse in Lukla, reflecting on the incredible experiences we have had during our journey.

    Attention trekkers! Important notice regarding your return journey. Due to recent regulations, Nepal Airlines Aviation has made some changes to the flight schedule during peak season. Buckle up for an exciting drive to Manthali Airport, which will take approximately 5-6 hours from Kathmandu. But wait, there’s more! On your return from Lukla, get ready for a thrilling flight to Manthali Airport followed by a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Get your cameras ready for some unforgettable views along the way!
