Day
Arrival on Kathmandu International Airport.
Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a friendly representative from our team will be there to greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. You will have the chance to meet with your experienced guide today and take advantage of the opportunity to address any remaining concerns or inquiries you may have regarding your expedition.
Half day Sightseen of Kathmandu city,
Embark on a tour of Kathmandu’s major sporting attractions, including the Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Monkey Temple, and the ancient city of Bhaktapur.
Kathmandu to Besishahar
The journey from Kathmandu to Besishahar is a scenic drive that takes approximately 6-7 hours. The road winds through narrow mountain roads, offering breathtaking views of the Nepalese countryside. Along the way, you’ll pass through traditional Nepalese villages, rice fields, and terraced hillsides. As you approach Besishahar, you’ll be greeted by the sight of the mighty Marsyangdi River, which flows through the town. Once you reach Besishahar, you can relax and unwind at one of the many lodges that offer comfortable accommodation and local cuisine. The town is also a hub for transportation to other popular trekking destinations, such as the Annapurna Circuit and the Manaslu Circuit.
Besishahar to Chame
The drive from Besishahar to Chame is an exhilarating journey that takes around 6-7 hours. As you leave Besishahar, the road begins to climb steeply, winding its way up through lush green forests and picturesque villages. The drive offers stunning views of the Marsyangdi River and the surrounding mountain peaks. As you approach Chame, you’ll be greeted by the sight of the towering Annapurna mountain range, which dominates the skyline. Chame is the district headquarters of the Manang district, and is the last major settlement before entering the Annapurna Conservation Area. Here, you can relax and recharge at one of the many comfortable lodges, while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Chame to Low Pisang
The trek from Chame to Lower Pisang is a scenic journey that takes around 5-6 hours of walking. The trail begins with a gentle ascent through dense forests of pine and rhododendron, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. As you hike higher, the landscape changes to dry and barren, with fewer trees and more rocks. You’ll pass through traditional Tibetan villages, where you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life. Finally, you’ll reach Lower Pisang, a charming village situated at an altitude of 3200 m. Here, you can rest and rejuvenate at one of the many comfortable lodges, while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks.
Acclimatization or Rest Day
Today, you’ll have a well-deserved rest day in Lower Pisang Village to help your body acclimatize to the higher altitude. You can spend the day exploring the local village, interacting with the friendly locals, and learning about their culture and way of life. Take advantage of the opportunity to relax, recharge, and soak up the stunning views of the Himalayan peaks that surround you.
Lower Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp
The trek from Lower Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp is an exciting journey that takes around 6 hours of walking. The trail winds through rugged terrain, with steep ascents and descents that offer a thrilling adventure. You’ll pass through quaint villages and hamlets, where you can observe the traditional way of life of the locals. As you approach the Base Camp, you’ll be treated to mesmerizing views of the Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. At the Base Camp, you’ll spend the night in comfortable tents, surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, and prepare for the challenging climb ahead.
Contingency Day in case of bad weather.
This is an additional day reserved for unexpected events such as adverse weather or if the climbing guide feels that you need additional training. It serves as a contingency day to ensure that the climb proceeds smoothly and safely.
Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp
The next day of the trek, you’ll embark on a 3-4 hrs. journey from Pisang Peak Base Camp to Pisang Peak High Camp, located at an altitude of 5030 meters. During this part of the trek, your climbing guide will teach you essential mountaineering skills, including fixing ropes, climbing techniques, and other necessary tips. Once you reach the High Camp, you’ll receive further training and get to practice your skills while enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding peaks. You’ll spend the night at the High Camp, resting and preparing for the ascent to the summit of Pisang Peak the next day. The accommodation will be in comfortable tents.
High Camp to Pisang Peak Back to Base Camp
Embark on your journey to the summit of Pisang Peak (6091 m) in the morning. Ascend through the gully and traverse to the right, before scaling a wide stone field and crossing a bridge over the glacier. Be cautious of crevasses as you make your way to Camp 1, where you will take a break before pushing onward. Marvel at the breathtaking Himalayan views, including Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), Mt. Annapurna II (7937 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Annapurna IV (7525 m), Gangapurna (7455 m), Tilicho peak (7134 m), and, of course, Pisang Peak itself. Descend to Pisang Base Camp the same day and spend the night in a tent.
Pisang Base Camp to Chame
After successfully summiting Pisang Peak, trek back to Chame through the beautiful landscapes and terraced fields. It will take around 7 hours of walking to reach Chame. Spend a peaceful night at the lodge and celebrate the successful summit of Pisang Peak.
Chame To Besishahar
After completing the trek from Chame to Pisang Peak, we will drive to Besishahar by local jeep and stay overnight at the lodge. This will give us a chance to rest and relax before heading back to Kathmandu.
Besishahar-Kathmandu
After a memorable adventure in the mountains, it’s time to return to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. Today, we will take a scenic drive from Besishahar to Kathmandu on a comfortable tourist bus. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours and we will be able to enjoy beautiful landscapes along the way. We will spend our last night in Nepal at a cozy hotel in Kathmandu.
Departure for sweet home country.
Get ready for your next adventure as we bid you farewell after breakfast. Our representative will be there to assist you with your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport, where you’ll take off to your next destination. Please keep in mind that the standard check-out time at the hotel is 11 am. However, if you plan to stay longer in Nepal or your flight departs later in the day, don’t hesitate to let us know, and we’ll make the necessary arrangements. Safe travels!
